I am a beginner with watercolors, and I was intrigued to purchase this as my first set of brushes because of how highly Tori (YouTube Juicy Ink) spoke of them. When I opened my package and tested the brushes using some Winsor and Newton watercolors, I was so surprised by the quality! Definitely going to buy some more to keep in stock!

I love the case and so far the brushes work well. Lower rating because one brush (the large one) came broken. I super glued it and it's fine now.

I really purchased this just for the case to use with some brushes I already owned. The brushes were just a bonus and I have enjoyed using them too.

I was so pleased at the quality of these brushes! They are beautifully made especially for the price. The case they came in was very practical and also well made. I would order another set of these in a heartbeat. The variety of brush size was just what is needed for detail in painting. Good purchase for the beginner as well as a pro.

I recently started painting with watercolors again and when I looked at my brush collection I realised that it was populated with cheap brushes from my student days that were all in terrible shape. I quickly came online and looked to see if I could fine a nice relatively inexpensive assortment that would do me well as a starter set. I was really happy when I received these in the mail. The case in itself is wonderful. It is sturdy (so sturdy I in fact had a bit of a struggle to get the brushes OUT) with a great design. The case can stand on it's own when open serving as a display case and closes to protect the brushes with a nice leather tab with a snap. Since I do intend to do some outdoor painting it's nice to have this carrying case. The brushes themselves are good quality. I've been using them for several days now and they have kept their shape well. I had one rather longer than usual hair on the number 3 round brush right in the center that was throwing me off a bit so I snipped it and solved the problem. I committed the cardinal sin of leaving one of the brushes overnight in water with the bristles face down and was relieved to see that the bristles did not bend and came back to their original shape immediately. Phew! I would definitely recommend this set of brushes they're good quality and have a nice range of shapes that work well for a starter collection.
