These paints are creamy, easy to use, and dry with a nice subtle gloss finish. I work with very fine detail, altering trading cards. This paint handles well on tiny brushes without damaging the delicate bristles (which can be a problem with cheaper paints!). This set has a nice mix of translucent and opaque colors, offering good coverage and layering variety. Straight out of the tube, they have a creamy consistency that is easy to move around the canvas for a flat later, but with just enough thickness that you can get some texture out of it, if you want it. They can be easily thinned with water or extender, and I've also had good results mixing them with gloss mediums for additional textures and glazes. My only criticism regarding the colors in this set is there's no Magenta, which is helpful for blending and color matching. It looks like that's included in the largest size set, however. I love that it includes the Phthalos, and the Deep Yellow is very close to a Gamboge, which is beautiful. I also love the inclusion of Payne's Gray! These paints blend very well, and dry quickly and true to color--no color shifting. When you consider that the price per tube is comparable to how much you'd pay for a bottle of craft acrylic paint, this is a steal. The pigment load is fantastic by comparison. Having worked with both cheaper and more expensive brands for years, I'd say this set is a great find, and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting quality paints at a reasonable price point.
